What We Do
Rocky Mountain Leadership School provides educational experiences which remediate, maintain, and improve academic, intellectual, and social functioning. We also provide:
• Supportive relationships between students, teachers, and staff in a rich adult to student ratio.
• Individual assessments and Individualized Learning Plans designed for each student, or IEP when already in place from district of residence.
• Prescriptive educational experiences to address academic deficiencies, learning disabilities, and emotional disturbances.
• Liaison services between the Approved Facility School prior to placement and after discharge from the program.
• Career and Technical Education that emphasizes training, certification, and employability.
Online Curriculum
To meet the unique and diverse educational needs of our students, we utilize the Edmentum online curriculum, a Colorado state aligned, Common Core curriculum in core areas – math, language arts, social studies, and science – implemented in a blended learning environment where in-person teachers provide direct instruction to students through the online learning platform.
• Designed to emphasize priority standards/power standards concepts and skills in both instruction and practice
• Provides relevant student facing materials, including worksheets, guided notes, embedded digital activities and assessments.
Edmentum also includes EdOptions virtual teachers as a temporary solution when in-person teachers are not available or when students are in need of extra support in a particular subject.
