Treatment Services

Colorado Q-House provides targeted treatment and positive skill development groups according to each youth’s Individualized Treatment Plan using evidence-based behavioral health models and cognitive behavioral approaches.

Youth experience structured social learning where new skills and behaviors are modeled in trauma-informed ways. Treatment groups address a variety of needs, including:

• Independent Living Skills

• Positive Skills Development

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

• Substance Abuse Curriculum

Transition Services

The Q-House focuses on providing skills and opportunities needed to successfully reintegrate into the community. Each youth identifies support systems based on their interests and goals to develop a Transition Plan focused on his greatest needs, which reduces recidivism and enhances his odds at successful community integration.

While in the program, youth have the opportunity to complete their GED or high school diploma and prepare for trade schools or colleges, as well as finding immediate employment.  Our credentialed on-site school features music classes, 3-D printing and design, vocational projects (building a greenhouse, shed, and more), along with traditional education essentials.

Improving the Lives of Youth

Family Engagement

Family involvement is critical to youth achievement and growth. In order to repair, rebuild, and enhance the ties between a youth and his family, the Q-House provides the following services:

• Aftercare and transition planning

• Family involvement through admission, treatment planning, parent communication, and home passes

• Optional family therapy sessions with our Licensed Therapist

Program Activities

At the Q-House, we strive to rebuild the relationships youth have with their community by connecting them to resources and providing community service opportunities. In turn, we want youth to be viewed as a resource to their community and to develop a sense of social responsibility and competency.

Our Program Manager matches youth with community resources, local and county government and civic groups for volunteering. This engagement is also tailored to each young man’s areas of personal growth through youth-identified service opportunities, off-campus work experience and recreational activities.
